Transcript of Robert Armin's
online chat with
Liz Callaway (September 8, 2003)

[Liz Callaway did her own typing and she apologizes frequently for her typos.  For the sake of clarity, most of the obvious typing errors (including Robert's)  have been removed.  And, for the record, her typing isn't really all that bad!]

[RobertArmin] Good evening everyone. Welcome to the Fynsworth Alley chat room.

[RobertArmin] I'm been trying to get Liz Callaway in here since I first started last December...

[RobertArmin] But she's a busy lady.

[RobertArmin] But I finally did it!

[RobertArmin] And she's here now.

[RobertArmin] Good evening, Liz!

[LizCallaway] Actually, I have a regular mixed doubles tennis game on Mondays!

[RobertArmin] I know, how did we get lucky tonight?

[LizCallaway] Hi everyone. I'm a lousy typist, but I'll try...

[LizCallaway] I got a sub for my game tonight.

[RobertArmin] Thanks so much for that.

[LizCallaway] Sure!

[RobertArmin] A Fynsworth chat wouldn't make sense without you at some point.

[LizCallaway] I think I did one a few years back, but I'm glad to be doing this w/ you.

[RobertArmin] Since you have been a major recording artist for us -- starting with Varese Sarabande a long time ago.

[RobertArmin] I don't think there are many people who have participated on more of these albums.

[RobertArmin] And of course, you have three terrific solo albums, too.

[RobertArmin] We've got a lot of people submitting questions, so let me try to post a few,

[LizCallaway] I'm very lucky to have done so many. Someone suggested I do a CD of all the tracks of the compilations I've done...

[LizCallaway] Ask away.

[RobertArmin] Hollywood1 writes: Liz was a sweetheart and I met her after her Philly Pops concert- she was so sick, but you'd have never guessed from her moving performance. Is there any chance these type concerts can be recorded??

[LizCallaway] Usually the unions are very picky about recordings, although Boston Pops does a lot of TV ones

[LizCallaway] Philly Pops was great; they should televise them.

[LizCallaway] Isn't my grammar hilarious?

[RobertArmin] You've got a lot of concerts on your schedule. What's coming up next?

[LizCallaway] Not to mention my spelling.

[RobertArmin] You're spelling is just fine.

[RobertArmin] I meant fyne

[LizCallaway] Binghamton Symphony in October, Hartford in November...

[RobertArmin] And, of course, you're still working with your sister in Sibling Revelry! In smaller venues.

[LizCallaway] Yes, and I'm pleased to announce (here first) that Ann and I are putting a brand new show together for Feinstein's in NYC for March.

[RobertArmin] NEATO!

[RobertArmin] But who among us can afford Feinstein's?

[LizCallaway] I know, it's so expensive. But what's more important, music or food?

[RobertArmin] Have you done full orchestra concerts with Ann, as well?

[LizCallaway] No, not with Ann. We want to do Sibling Revelry w/ an orchestra one day.

[RobertArmin] What was it like as a kid? Was their any rivalry!

[RobertArmin] You're so different -- and yet both such great singers!

[LizCallaway] There was some rivalry, but as we got older we got very close.

[LizCallaway] Why, thank you.

[RobertArmin] Did Ann get started singing before you? Did that give you the idea. Or were you both musical right from the start?

[LizCallaway] I was terribly shy about singing until I was in high school

[LizCallaway] Ann was not. In fact because she sang first, I didn't want to.

[RobertArmin] What was your first stage production?

[LizCallaway] Actually I'm still a bit shy about singing.

[LizCallaway] Professional or school?

[RobertArmin] School

[LizCallaway] I was in the chorus of No No Nanette.

[RobertArmin] But what was your first big role -- where you said "I can do that."

[RobertArmin] And I don't mean A Chorus Line

[LizCallaway] Actually, it was Take Me Along. Typing this fast makes me stupid.

[RobertArmin] "She said Nine O'Clock!"

[RobertArmin] She said Nine O'Clock!"

[LizCallaway] I did Kate in Kiss Me Kate my senior year. That was fun.

[RobertArmin] That was a Take Me Along reference, for those who missed it.

[LizCallaway] Take Me Along is a rather odd show don't you think?

[RobertArmin] You as Kate. That's something I love to see.

[LizCallaway] I liked doing I Hate Men. I got to throw a chair across the stage.

[RobertArmin] Yes, I'm so mad I missed the Broadway revival. It played across the street for like one day.

[RobertArmin] Have you done it again, professionally? Kate?

[LizCallaway] It was good. As I watched it I couldn't believe I did that role at 16.

[LizCallaway] No, I'd like to.

[RobertArmin] Did you play the girl or the mother?

[LizCallaway] What do you mean?

[RobertArmin] Cause 16 is the right age for the girl in Take Me Along

[RobertArmin] No, not Kate. I know 16 is young for that role!

[LizCallaway] I was in the chorus. I was very "raw" at that stage of my life!

[RobertArmin] Ginny writes: LOVE your voice! Saw you and your sister at the "Egg" in Albany, NY. Is there any real "sibling rivalry" with the two of you?

[LizCallaway] For the most part no, but although we are best friends and are thrilled for each other's successes, sometimes we might feel a pang of envy...

[RobertArmin] FranklinShepardInc writes: Liz, I just want to thank you for introducing me to all those wonderful songs you sang on your The Beat Goes On album - my Mom loves that CD too! Are you planning a new CD soon?

[LizCallaway] I'm going to type a little slower now.

[RobertArmin] Slow is okay.

[RobertArmin] We'll wait.

[LizCallaway] I'm thinking about a new album. I think it's time for a new one. Any ideas?

[RobertArmin] You were terrific in The Look of Love, but the show was not so lucky, unfortunately.

[RobertArmin] Was that a difficult production to work on?

[LizCallaway] Yeah, that was disappointing. I love that music, and enjoyed working with everyone involved.

[LizCallaway] It had its ups and downs. Not an easy one for sure.

[RobertArmin] It was a great cast... and I usually like Scott Ellis's work. But that was one huge disappointment.

[RobertArmin] And I almost went to see it on a night you were out! Thank goodness your husband warned me in time.

[LizCallaway] It's very hard to take pop songs and put them on a stage. That said, a lot of people loved it.

[RobertArmin] Without you it would have been quite a disappointment.

[LizCallaway] Yes, I was doing the Philly Pops concert, I believe.

[LizCallaway] Actually I had a really good understudy.

[RobertArmin] I think that's the key problem. There is nothing theatrical in most of Bacharach's songs -- except Promises Promises, of course.

[RobertArmin] ScottCain asks: What role would you like to perform in a musical revival of an existing show?

[LizCallaway] A lot of pop songs are repetitive, so you have to work very hard to tell a story.

[LizCallaway] The show should have been recorded. It would have been an excellent CD.

[RobertArmin] Yes, vocally it was very good.

[LizCallaway] I'd like to do 110 in The Shade.

[RobertArmin] Lizzie would be a terrific role for you, Lizzie.

[LizCallaway] Or Sunday in the Park w/ George.

[LizCallaway] And I wish Encores would do Anyone Can Whistle...sooooo much.

[RobertArmin] Bruce Kimmel recorded so many wonderful cut songs from 110 in the Shade. The cut songs are every bit as good as the songs that were used.

[RobertArmin] Jones and Schmidt supposedly wrote about 50 songs for that show.

[RobertArmin] So prolific.

[LizCallaway] I like that show a lot. Years ago I saw Gregg Edelman do it at Northwestern U.

[RobertArmin] Scott adds: Ask Liz about her starring role in the CBS TV Movie SENIOR TRIP? She sang with Mickey Rooney.

[LizCallaway] Scott, don't you have some juggling to do or something?

[RobertArmin] JohnnyD writes: Liz-I have 2 questions; the last time you performed at Odette's in New Hope, you solicited different "words" from the audience and you said next time you came back you would have a song-you were trying something your sister had done at one time-how is that coming?? And.. when are we going to be able to attend a performance of "The Beat Goes On"? And , oh yeah, Scott Cain is awesome-very prompt and very courteous!! Thank you Scott!

[LizCallaway] I tend to be embarrassed about some of the stuff I did when I was younger. Even now, I don't watch TV stuff I do.

[RobertArmin] At least you weren't in Grease 2!!

[LizCallaway] Hi Johnny, I have those suggestions in a file. It's going to be super!

[RobertArmin] Ginny asks: Did you enjoy working in "Follies"?

[LizCallaway] I'm performing w/ Cris Groenandaal in PA, in a few weeks...lots of 60's songs.

[RobertArmin] Another reader writes: This is Donna in RI - Just wanted to say Hi to Liz - we did Sunday in the Park together eons ago. Got tickets today to Sibling Revelry in Boston in January - see you then

[LizCallaway] Follies was incredible. I was so depressed when it was over. It was thrilling.

[LizCallaway] Hi Donna!!!! Can't wait to see you then.

[RobertArmin] I was lucky enough to see the Lincoln Center Follies. Of course, I saw the original production seven times. My all time favorite show.

[LizCallaway] I've never seen the whole show. Isn't that crazy?

[RobertArmin] Great show.

[RobertArmin] Someday you can play a great Phyllis.

[LizCallaway] I'd like to do an album of Sondheim someday.

[RobertArmin] ScottCain writes: Robert, before this chat ends, could you give a plug for Liz's website and monthly newsletter? Her site is www.lizcallaway.com and to sign up for the newsletter, send an email to grizabella82@hotmail.com with Liz C Subscribe in the subject. Over 600 fans of Liz subscribe right now.

[RobertArmin] No Scott, no plugs for other websites.

[LizCallaway] Thanks to Scott for all his tireless work!!!!!!

[RobertArmin] FranklinShepardInc writes: Maybe on your next album, you could sing a song or two from Dance a Little Closer - I would love to hear you sing "Another Life" or "Anyone Who Loves." You were also a terrific match for the William Finn songs you sang in "Infinite Joy," and the world can always use more Bill Finn songs recorded.

[LizCallaway] I love Bill's songs

[RobertArmin] Laura asks: Out of all the songs you have recorded, which was your favorite?

[LizCallaway] I don't know the others you mentioned.

[LizCallaway] Well, that's very hard.

[LizCallaway] I don't know if I have a favorite. I love recording, the whole process actually.

[LizCallaway] Laura, what do you like?

[RobertArmin] ScottCain writes: hey, she doesn't call me her "favorite stalker" for nothin'

[RobertArmin] Hmmm

[LizCallaway] He's right.

[RobertArmin] Robb writes: Liz, This is "hi" from Robb in northern Illinois, we performed together back in the summer of 1977! Would like more information on your Feb. 8th concert in Riverfront, Il.

[LizCallaway] Hi Robb!!!!!! We had so much fun together. I wish I had more info too!

[LizCallaway] I'll try to get some for the website.

[RobertArmin] BroadwayBill writes: Liz, what do you remember most about your days performing at Great America in Santa Clara?

[LizCallaway] That I was a very naughty girl!!!!! I remember doing a lot of partying and going to Winchell's Donut House at 3:00AM!

[RobertArmin] BroadwayBill adds: And whatever happened to your doll, "Baby Liz" ??

[LizCallaway] Oh my God, she was kidnapped!!! I must find her.

[LizCallaway] She'll probably show up on E-Bay.

[RobertArmin] Bill says: LOL

[RobertArmin] DianeWarner writes: Regarding the Feb. 8th concert...I just checked the Dominican Univ Riverfront, IL website and it lists the show and a box office number of 708-524-6942.

[RobertArmin] Thanks for the info.

[LizCallaway] My years at Great America in CA and IL were the best.

[RobertArmin] BroadwayBill adds: What I remember most from then Liz is you singing "Stormy Weather" after our shows out in the park with the pit band. It was magical

[LizCallaway] Thank you! Sometimes I'm clueless about my gigs.

[RobertArmin] This chat is going so fast!!!

[LizCallaway] I did some concerts in PA this summer and realized afterwards that I was in NJ!

[RobertArmin] I don't have time to give away anything...

[RobertArmin] But let's make time.

[RobertArmin] Does anyone want to win a Liz Callaway CD?

[LizCallaway] I forgot about Stormy Weather. I did Pennies From Heaven too.

[LizCallaway] I do!

[RobertArmin] BroadwayBill adds: By the way Liz, Patti Lyles says hello! She's selling real estate now.

[LizCallaway] Wow, say hi for me.

[RobertArmin] Murphydg1 writes: Donna again - I think the suggestion for a Sondheim CD would be great. I say thanks to Scott too for a great website - How was your son's production of Into the Woods?

[LizCallaway] It was great. He played Rapunzel's Prince. Now he's really into Pacific Overtures!

[RobertArmin] Okay, here's a question for the first giveaway. The prize will be Liz's The Beat Goes On CD.

[RobertArmin] When Liz starred on Broadway in BABY, there was a young man who played her husband. That man recently directed his first film. Who is he and what is the movie called?

[LizCallaway] Oh, I know, I know!!!!!!!!!!

[RobertArmin] We have a winner.

[RobertArmin] FranklinShepardInc was first.

[RobertArmin] Todd Graff -- Camp.

[LizCallaway] Congrats.

[RobertArmin] Franklin, send your name and address to fynsworth@showmusic.com.

[RobertArmin] We'll ask another question later for the Frank Loesser album!

[RobertArmin] Liz, what was it like working on Baby. Aren't there plans for a revival concert or something or other?

[LizCallaway] Baby was amazing.

[LizCallaway] We did a workshop first, then a million backer's auditions.

[LizCallaway] Was the best role I ever had. Spoiled me!

[RobertArmin] And it gave you one heck of a song.

[LizCallaway] Did a semi- reunion concert a year and a half ago. Had a blast. They should do a concert.

[RobertArmin] Which you named one of your albums after.

[LizCallaway] Story Goes On is a great song.

[RobertArmin] Yes, they should.

[RobertArmin] ScottCain says the Roundabout is planning a revival.

[RobertArmin] Maybe you could play Beth's role!

[LizCallaway] I know they've been talking about it for a long time. I heard Paper Mill is doing it.

[RobertArmin] Of course, they NEVER let people repeat shows they were in originally.

[RobertArmin] They refused to see anyone from the original Nine.

[LizCallaway] David Shire said I could play Arlene now. Nice, huh?

[RobertArmin] And Scott adds: Paper Mill is indeed doing it in the Spring

[RobertArmin] You look and sound so young, but by now you really know what it's like to be a Mommy.

[LizCallaway] It'll be weird to see it.

[RobertArmin] How many kids do you have?

[LizCallaway] Yes I do. If I could play Lizzie again, I'd play much more morning sickness!!

[LizCallaway] I have a 12 year old son, Nicholas.

[LizCallaway] I got a kitten yesterday.

[RobertArmin] Ahhhh

[RobertArmin] ScottCain asks: What show that you were in that went unrecorded would you most liked to have recorded?

[LizCallaway] Definitely Look of Love.

[LizCallaway] Second, would be Holiday from great America, 1977.

[LizCallaway] Sorry about my typing everyone...yikes!!!!!

[RobertArmin] If you could record a studio cast of an old score, what would you choose?

[LizCallaway] Actually, The matinee kids would be a great CD.

[RobertArmin] BroadwayBill says he has an audio of Music America!

[RobertArmin] FranklinShepardInc asks: What's the name of your new kitten?

[LizCallaway] Probably Anyone Can Whistle.

[LizCallaway] What spelling!!! His name is Lenny.

[LizCallaway] My son just finished reading Of Mice and Men.

[RobertArmin] ScottCain writes: I don't mean to plug another record company's CD, but your fans are all thankful that Brownstone finally got recorded and released.

[LizCallaway] I think of Lenny Dykstra of the '86 NY Mets!

[RobertArmin] No problem plugging Brownstone!

[LizCallaway] Yes, I'm so happy that was recorded. Had a blast doing that.

[RobertArmin] DoriaHudson writes: who did you play in "Godspell" when you did the show off-Broadway? what song did you sing?

[LizCallaway] I did Joanne and sang Oh Bless The Lord.

[LizCallaway] I sing that when I do concerts w/ Stephen Schwartz. It's a great song.

[RobertArmin] DoriaHudson adds: That's the best song in the show. go you!

[RobertArmin] Scott adds (a lot): Liz in Godspell can be viewed at the Lincoln Center Archives!!!

[LizCallaway] I had the worst costume for that. Scott Bakula played Jesus.

[RobertArmin] And very well, I'm sure.

[LizCallaway] And Jason Graae was Herb.

[RobertArmin] Jason!!

[RobertArmin] He's supposed to be here one of these days. Soon I hope.

[LizCallaway] Yes. I'm doing some shows w/ him.

[RobertArmin] Tell him to call me.

[LizCallaway] One in Miami in October.

[RobertArmin] I keep leaving him email notes.

[LizCallaway] He's awful about that.

[RobertArmin] He's trying to find a "window" in his schedule.

[LizCallaway] Am I allowed to curse?

[RobertArmin] BroadwayBill writes: You and Jason need to come back to Northern Calif. with your show!

[RobertArmin] Of course, you can curse. This is the internet.

[LizCallaway] We are...next April. God knows what we'll do. Same venue.

[LizCallaway] Oh good, well *** him!!!

[RobertArmin] LOL

[RobertArmin] Some curse.

[LizCallaway] See, I can't even type curses!!!! Pathetic.

[RobertArmin] Scott says, you can have a potty mouth at times.

[RobertArmin] BroadwayBill adds: Excellent! And this time I'll make sure I hang out afterward to say hi. Its been like 25 years since I've seen you!

[LizCallaway] I do love to curse. I'm particularly fond of the "F" word.

[RobertArmin] DianaWarner writes: Speaking of Sondheim...I saw your solo show at the Stockbridge Cabaret in MA a few weekends ago. It was great...I liked the "alternative lyrics" to Another Hundred People - I think they really captured it well (and gives you something to curse about)

[LizCallaway] LOL!!!

[RobertArmin] So let's talk some more about your theatre work.

[LizCallaway] OK.

[RobertArmin] Were you in the Three Musketeers at the Broadway Theatre. Was that the Mark Bramble one?

[LizCallaway] Wait, my husband is bring me a glass of wine....ah........

[RobertArmin] Ahh

[RobertArmin] Quick, Kris, bring me some wine...

[RobertArmin] Oh, wait. I never drink... wine.

[RobertArmin] A Bela Lugosi reference.

[LizCallaway] Yes, if we're going to talk about that show, I'll need some wine.

[LizCallaway] Yes, that was Mark's.

[RobertArmin] Murphydg1 says: Liz say Hi to Dan for me

[LizCallaway] I will!

[LizCallaway] Donna, Dan says hi.

[RobertArmin] Murphydg1 asks: will he come to Boston with you?

[LizCallaway] He's going to try, but he may be out of town.

[RobertArmin] So, what did you play in Three Musketeers. I saw it but it's a bit of a blank.

[RobertArmin] Scott says it had a good cast though. Brent Spiner, Chuck Wagner, Jerome Pradon

[LizCallaway] For me too, I played Constance.

[RobertArmin] Don't remember.

[RobertArmin] Ah, of course.

[RobertArmin] It all comes back to me now.

[RobertArmin] I'm such a good liar.

[LizCallaway] A very good cast. Seriously, all the shows that I've done have been invaluable experiences, even when they failed.

[RobertArmin] BroadwayBill writes: I saw some pictures of you as Eva Peron in Evita...where did you do it and what was it like playing that part?

[LizCallaway] Perhaps my next CD should be RUDY! Liz Callaway sings Rudolph Friml

[LizCallaway] I did that at Providence College, a guest artist thing.

[RobertArmin] Murphydg1 asks: Can that be a trivia question.

[RobertArmin] No, but I must think up another question.

[LizCallaway] Had fun, my husband directed it. My wig was so small I nearly died!

[RobertArmin] We'll give away another CD soon.

[RobertArmin] DoriaHudson agrees: Liz, I don't like wigs either.

[RobertArmin] Murphdg1 adds: Liz - it wasn't the same wig I almost wore in Sunday? Do you remember that?

[LizCallaway] They can be a real pain.

[LizCallaway] Barely!

[RobertArmin] FranklinShepardInc has a good idea: Liz, I now realize that you should do an album of Schmidt and Jones songs

[RobertArmin] You can do a whole album of 110 Shade songs that haven't yet been recorded!

[LizCallaway] That would be fun. I did their Grover's Corners...that's a great score.

[RobertArmin] ScottCain adds: including Jones and Schmidt songs from the abandoned GROVER's CORNERS

[RobertArmin] Beat him to it.

[RobertArmin] Didn't you do the demo of that?

[LizCallaway] That that show didn't get to Bway was one of the few regrets I have about my career.

[RobertArmin] What other demos can I hear you on? I have quite a few.

[LizCallaway] I did do the demo. Scoot Waara was George.

[LizCallaway] I did a million. The original Carrie....tons of stuff. Scott has most of them, but there are some he hasn't and won't ever hear!

[RobertArmin] Scott reminds me that you did the original demo of Carrie!

[LizCallaway] Is there an echo?

[RobertArmin] Yes. I'm a slow typist

[LizCallaway] Now I'm getting punchy!

[RobertArmin] He did say that before you.

[LizCallaway] He's so competitive.

[RobertArmin] So what are the "lost" demos we don't know about!

[LizCallaway] I'll have to think. I'm typing so quickly I can't think of any!

[RobertArmin] Scott adds: She rocks on Arthur. She also did one for The Lady In Penthouse B

[RobertArmin] Hey, I beat you that time.

[LizCallaway] I've done a lot of demos for Cy Coleman, but I never get any copies of them!

[LizCallaway] I loved the score to Arthur. I did that w/ Harry Groener.

[RobertArmin] I've been adding a lot of demos to my collection.

[RobertArmin] I have to watch out for a few of these titles.

[RobertArmin] Hollywood1 writes: How bout coming on QVC to sell some of your Cds? ( I work behind the scenes there) We had Linda Eder , Barbara Cook, Michael Crawford, and Liza on before.

[LizCallaway] I did some great demos for animated projects for Lynn Ahrens and Steve Flaherty.

[RobertArmin] You were GREAT in Anastasia!

[LizCallaway] How would one get on QVC?

[LizCallaway] I loved doing Anastasia.

[RobertArmin] Hollywood1 can put you in touch.

[LizCallaway] Thanks!

[RobertArmin] Hollywood1, send me your information to fynsworth@showmusic.com

[RobertArmin] I'll pass it on to Liz

[RobertArmin] Okay, Liz, do you want to think up a question for the quiz?

[RobertArmin] Or should I?

[RobertArmin] How about something related to Frank Loesser?

[LizCallaway] Let me see. You do it. But make it really hard!

[RobertArmin] Really hard?

[LizCallaway] How about more obscure.

[RobertArmin] Hmmmm.

[LizCallaway] I got one.

[LizCallaway] No I don't.

[RobertArmin] Okay, who was the singer who introduced Spring Will Be A Little Late This Year?

[LizCallaway] Gee, I don't know that.

[RobertArmin] I hope I know the answer to that one.

[LizCallaway] You already boasted about what a good liar you are.

[RobertArmin] Well, maybe that's a little TOOO hard

[RobertArmin] Ah, we have a winner!

[RobertArmin] FranklinShepardInc said: Deanna Durbin. That's right!

[LizCallaway] No kidding!

[RobertArmin] I have the record right in front of me.

[LizCallaway] You do not, liar.

[RobertArmin] Some of the wrong answers were Peggy Lee, Carly Simon, Anita O'Day, Jo Sullivan and Liz Callaway!

[RobertArmin] I do too.

[RobertArmin] The best of Deanna Durbin -- on LP!!!!!

[LizCallaway] Maybe that should be my next CD, a tribute to Deanna Durbin!

[RobertArmin] Sounds good. But she sang very high notes!

[LizCallaway] And your point is....

[RobertArmin] Nothing...

[LizCallaway] Are all your guests as feisty as I am?

[RobertArmin] FranklinShepardInc reminds me that he already won once.

[LizCallaway] Is that a problem?

[RobertArmin] BroadwayBill adds: Robert... take your foot out of your mouth. LOL

[RobertArmin] No, but now I have to ask another question and make him ineligible!

[RobertArmin] Fair enough?

[LizCallaway] I bet he gets it right.

[RobertArmin] And of course I know you can sing high notes.

[LizCallaway] I was kidding.

[RobertArmin] Of course, Franklin probably HAS both albums already. Right?

[LizCallaway] What if I send him a signed one?

[RobertArmin] Franklin likes that idea!

[LizCallaway] OK.

[RobertArmin] Vineyard writes: Can we all have a signed one? Pleeeeeeeeeeease!!!

[RobertArmin] Gee, don't know about that.

[LizCallaway] OK.

[LizCallaway] Now Robert is really sweating!

[RobertArmin] Yes, the air conditioner just went off... and the lights... and ...

[RobertArmin] BroadwayBill writes: It serves him right for all those hard questions!

[RobertArmin] Okay, then, here's a real easy question...

[LizCallaway] It gives him a sense of power I think...

[RobertArmin] Franklin isn't eligible this time.

[LizCallaway] Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh

[RobertArmin] What is Deanna Durbin's birthday...

[RobertArmin] No, just kidding.

[LizCallaway] That's good!!!!!

[RobertArmin] On the Beat Goes On CD, Liz sings a Beatles song about getting old. How old will she be in the song?

[RobertArmin] Gee, nobody seems to know that one.

[LizCallaway] Noooooooooooooooooooooooo

[RobertArmin] Oh, wait, we have an answer.

[RobertArmin] (Just kidding)

[RobertArmin] It's Scott Cain.

[RobertArmin] But Scott has EVERYTHING!!! you ever did.

[LizCallaway] Oh, he needs a Frank Loesser album.

[RobertArmin] Oh, well, he was first.

[LizCallaway] Maybe he can donate it to charity.

[RobertArmin] So we'll send him the BEAT GOES ON and yes, he can donate to Charity! LOL

[RobertArmin] Ok, Scott would rather have a compilation. You name it, Scott.

[RobertArmin] DoriaHudson writes: Liz, my High School chorus is trying to raise money for our chorus program. We're putting together a Chinese auction, is there any way you could donate an autographed CD? It's for a good cause. Please please please!

[RobertArmin] That can probably be arranged.

[LizCallaway] Of course I can. Which one would you like?

[RobertArmin] BroadwayBill has given us Deana Durbin's birthday as Dec 4, 1921.

[RobertArmin] So I guess he wins an album too!

[LizCallaway] Gee, can I win something?

[RobertArmin] DoriaHudson writes: whatever you would like to donate. thank you so much Liz and Robert. I owe you guys for life.

[RobertArmin] Okay, so I've got to go through this conversation and see who we've promised CDs to!

[LizCallaway] yawn...

[LizCallaway] just kidding.

[RobertArmin] Scott, write to me at Fynsworth@showmusic.com and let me know which compilation album you want.

[RobertArmin] Hey, Liz, I'm trying to keep up with all these comments!

[LizCallaway] lol

[RobertArmin] This is the busiest chat we've ever had!

[RobertArmin] Wow

[RobertArmin] DoriaHudson adds: It's busy because Liz is so talented.

[LizCallaway] Thanks.

[RobertArmin] Okay, Doria, you've got your CD. No more schmoozing.

[LizCallaway] No, go ahead ,Doria.

[RobertArmin] Scott writes: aren't you glad that all 600 people that I informed about this didn't show up all at once

[RobertArmin] YES!!!

[LizCallaway] Thanks for logging on everyone!

[RobertArmin] Doria adds: ha ha. no, really, I love Liz. Her and Marin Mazzie are my two biggest idols. *bows down to Liz*

[RobertArmin] Franklin adds: Are we allowed to talk how about how you are as beautiful as well as talented?

[RobertArmin] Yes, of course, you may add that.

[LizCallaway] You were always my favorite!

[RobertArmin] Hey, it's ten o'clock. Time for Lizzie to go to bed.

[LizCallaway] I wish! I have work to do!

[RobertArmin] Everybody is trying to say goodnight, Liz but there are tooooo many to post!

[LizCallaway] Good night everyone! This was fun. Although Robert will never ask me to do this again!

[RobertArmin] They've scrolled right off the bottom of my screen!

[RobertArmin] And I can't read any more.

[LizCallaway] Cool!

[RobertArmin] On the contrary, please DO THIS AGAIN

[RobertArmin] And let's work together again real soon.

[LizCallaway] Anytime, I just need to get a sub...

[RobertArmin] Hey, that's a good trivia question.

[RobertArmin] In what show that I directed did Liz appear?

[RobertArmin] Hollywood1 wins
